To make our billing and collections in accordance with the procedure of other telephone companies in Missouri and elsewhere and to conform with the Public Service Commission ruling in Case No. 12,132, we will change to the advance billing method with the December 1st billing. This will necessarily mean that you will be billed on the one bill for both November and December exchange service; in other words, when this change-over is made you will be paying for your telephone service in advance instead of arrears as heretofore and each bill received thereafter will be for the current month. If service is discontinued any time during the month and proper notice is given to the telephone company, your account will be credited with the unused balance.

Also, effective December 1st there will be a toll charge put in effect for calls between Ozark and Sparta. Authority for such a charge has been in the Rate and Tariff Sheets of this company since October 1, 1941, and it is found necessary that this be put in effect at this time. The rates will be the same as apply on calls to Nixa.

We sincerely thank you for your patronage and assure you that we will do our utmost to serve you to the best of our ability.

Very truly yours, CHRISTIAN COUNTY TELEPHONE CO.

What a difference 32 years makes!
