An Expert's Advice

A retired lady from the city living in the Ozarks was raising thirteen goslings for a hobby. She relied upon a city-raised agricultural expert for advice. After following several bits of advice from her city expert she found her goslings looking bad and feared they would die.

She called her city expert again and told him how bad they looked.

"Kill ten of them," he advised her.

"How will killing ten of them help?" she asked.

"It's simple, ma'am. It's plain to see they're starving, and anybody ought to know that thir teen goslings are too many for one goose to suckle."
