Robertson and the Defendant, although having been duly summoned herein by personal summons by the Sheriff of Mienard County, Ill., on 29 day of April 1902, same being more than 15 days before the 1st day of the present term of this court, fails to appear and answer or plead to petition of Plaintiff in this cause, but makes default, which default is by order of Court now entered herein against defendant thereupon the Plaintiff announces ready for trial and submits this cause to the Court for hearing, and the Court, after hearing all the evidence on part of Plaintiff finds that on 21st day of May 1892 Plaintiff was lawfully married to Defendant, that in January 1893 Defendant deserted and abandoned the Plaintiff. The Court further finds that in 1898 Plaintiff was informed and believed that Defendant had died in the State of Illinois and believing the same to be true she married one John L. Gooch and the Court finds that all the matters alleged in Plaintiff's petition are true and that she is entitled to the relief prayed for in her said petition. It is therefore considered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that the bonds of matuimony contracted by Plaintiff and Defendant on 21st day of May 1892 in Greene County, Mo., be and the same are hereby dissolved, annulled and for naught held, and the Plaintiff is now divorced therefrom and restored to all the rights, priveleges of a single and unmarried woman and the care and custody of Lora Thomas, a minor child born of said marriage with Defendant and is hereby awarded to Plaintiff.
