Author Encourages Boomer Entrepreneurs October 24
October 20, 2010 — Author Mary Beth Izard will discuss three common mistakes Baby Boomers make when starting a business, and how to overcome them, from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, October 24, in meeting room B of the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. Her talk is free and open to the public.
Izard will base her discussion on her book, “BoomerPreneurs, How Baby Boomers Can Start Their Own Business, Make Money and Enjoy Life.”
The three most common mistakes, Izard says, are investing too much, overlooking marketplace factors and mismatching business to personal goals and future plans.
Izard will give a free signed copy of her book to the first 30 people who arrive for the discussion.
Her visit is sponsored by AARP Missouri.
