The Fair Grove Branch Library will be closed Monday through Saturday, June 19-24, for carpet replacement and shelf rearrangement.

The online catalog, My Account, OverDrive, Hoopla, patron suggestions, databases and some parts of the Library website will be unavailable beginning 4 a.m. Friday, June 23, due to server maintenance. The services are expected to be available again by 9 a.m.

Enjoy a Reading with Author W.D. Blackmon

December 5, 2011 — W.D. Blackmon, head of the Missouri State University English Department, will be the Library's featured guest when he reads from his new book, "Blood and Milk: A Novel in Stories," published by Et Alia Press, Little Rock, Ark.

Blackmon, who also teaches fiction writing classes, will read at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, in the auditorium at the Library Center. The public is invited to this free event. Books will be available for purchase.

His short stories have appeared in publications such as the Associated Writing Programs' Intro series, "The Kansas Quarterly," "The Mississippi Review," "Short Story," "The Carolina Quarterly," and the "Western Humanities Review."
