Murder and Mystery Drive New Masterpiece Book & Film Club
May 15, 2012 — If you’re captivated by the PBS Masterpiece television series “Downton Abbey” and eagerly awaiting the new Sherlock Holmes series on Masterpiece, the Library has a book club for you.
The Library Station is launching The Masterpiece Mystery Book & Film Club. Adults are invited to cozy up with their favorite sleuths as we read, view and discuss these popular detective stories. Films will be viewed first, followed by discussion.
The club will meet at 6 p.m. Mondays in the Frisco Room of the Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway.
The first meeting is June 4 with Miss Marple and “The Murder at the Vicarage,” not rated.
Return July 9 with Sherlock Holmes and “The Hound of the Baskervilles,” not rated.
