Journey Through the Night Sky at Baker Observatory June 22
June 15, 2012 —
Get a close-up view of the night sky during Library Night at Baker Observatory at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22. We’ll look at the setting crescent moon, constellations, planets and deep-sky objects.
Becky Baker, Department of Physics, Astronomy and Materials Science, Missouri State University, and students will answer questions. If it’s overcast or rainy, the program will be at 7 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium.
Registration is recommended so that the observatory can stagger tours. Register or check on location by calling 882-0714.
Baker Observatory is located 12 miles north of Marshfield on County Road 514 (also known as Old Hillcrest Road).
