Huge Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale April 23-28
April 10, 2013 —
Who says you can't find romance at a book sale? You'll find that and more — mystery, biography, crafting, cooking, you name it — at the giant Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale on April 23-28 at Remington's 1655 W. Republic Road.
The sale features slightly used and rare books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records. A special section is devoted to children's books, board games and puzzles.
Sale dates are Tuesday through Sunday, April 23-28. Hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, half-price day; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, or Bag Day, when you pay only $1 for everything you can stuff in a sack; or $5 per sack for better books.
Friends Night Preview Sale is 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 22. Friends of the Library members should make sure their dues are paid in advance to get in free. Not a Friends member? Pay $5 to get in and you can join anytime that night.
Children's books are 50 cents or less; adult and young adult books and most audiovisual items are $1 or less; better books are $2 and up. The Friends accept only cash or checks.
