Ultimate Cheapskate Jeff Yeager Coming to Midtown Carnegie Branch June 21
May 23, 2014 — He’s a popular guest on NBC's Today Show and TLC's Extreme Cheapskates. Now see Jeff Yeager in person at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library, 397 E. Central St., when he presents “Finding Wholesale Happiness in a Retail World.” The event is free and open to all ages. He will sell and sign his book after the event.
Yeager delivers practical and even life-changing advice about money, happiness and our consumer culture, and does it with humor. He will base his talk on his best-selling book, "The Ultimate Cheapskate's Road Map to True Riches: A Practical (and Fun) Guide to Enjoying Life More by Spending Less."
From slaying your Enoughasaurus – deciding what “enough” is for you – to tips for inoculating yourself against buyer’s remorse, this is a speech with broad appeal and a real sense of humor.
Yeager encourages us to “Value time, and the things you can do with it, more than money, and the stuff you can buy with it.”
Yeager serves as the official “Savings Expert” of AARP and its 40+ million members, writing articles for AARP publications, and contributing a weekly blog to its website, AARP.org. In 2013, Yeager launched a weekly web show on YouTube in partnership with AARP, “The Cheap Life with Jeff Yeager.”
Yeager’s work is also featured on his award-winning website UltimateCheapskate.com.
