Simple Steps to Starting Your Small Business Series Runs Sept. 2-30

Ever had the urge to own your own business? A series of four workshops for adults in September in the Library Center auditorium, 4653 S. Campbell, will address the steps necessary to start a business and determine if it can succeed.
The workshops will be from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Registration begins Aug. 19 by calling 417-883-5341.
Topics will include: required licenses, entity selection (LLC or corporation), taxation for small businesses, developing a marketing strategy, writing an effective business plan, obtaining financing and more.
