Renee Micka, Stacy Heydt and Eileen Young Book Signings Dec. 20 at Library Center

December 10, 2014 — Three local authors, Renee Micka, Stacy Heydt and Eileen Young, will sell and sign copies of their books during book signing events on Saturday, Dec. 20, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.

Renee Micka’s book signing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.-noon. Micka, joined by illustrator Scott Sauer, will have copies available of her first book, “Charlie’s Birthday Wish.” Charlie doesn’t have any friends to invite to his birthday party because he was cruel to them. Will his friends forgive him and come to his party?

Stacy Heydt’s book signing will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. She will have copies of “The Fashionable Mrs. Blue Has a Clue and a Plan” available for purchase. Mr. Blue wants to move to the country to raise alpacas. Will Mrs. Blue know what to do to find happiness moving away from her friends and the big city boutiques? Mrs. Blue gets an idea and makes a plan, but she’ll have many problems to solve if she wants to create her own fashions using the alpacas’ fiber. Do you think she can do it?

Eileen Young’s book signing will take place from 1-3 p.m. She will have copies of two books available, “Jesus Answered with Twelve Little Boxes,” and “Let’s Walk to God: As YOU Walk Into Eternity Who Will You Meet?” “Jesus Answered with Twelve Little Boxes” reveals the author’s personal struggles during one Christmas season and how her faith kept Eileen and her children focused on what they had to be thankful for. In “Let’s Walk to God,” Eileen shares four personal stories of how faith guided her through the deaths of her loved ones.
