Passport Application Hours Adjusted at Library Center
January 14, 2015 — Planning a trip outside the United States in 2015? The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave., provides a convenient way to apply for a U.S. passport and get a passport photo.
Reference desk staff members can assist the public with passport application seven days a week for all ages. No appointment is required.
The hours for this service have been adjusted slightly since the service began in June 2014.
New passport service hours are:
- 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday
- 1-4 p.m. Sunday
Before visiting the Library Center, individuals should first consult the U.S. Department of State’s official page, www.travel.state.gov, to download an application and for details on what documents and fees are required when applying at the Library Center. The library also has application forms.
The Library Center began accepting passport applications in June 2014 after the Springfield-Greene County Library District was designated as a passport acceptance facility by the US. Department of State. The Library Center currently is the only branch in the district handling applications.
