Learn How to Use Windows 10 with Lynda.com Lessons; Passport to Healthy Living Prize Drawings and Party Aug. 22 at Mediacom Ice Park

August 10, 2015 — Millions of computer users have already adopted the new Windows 10 software. If you’re one of them, or hope to be soon, you can take a free lesson on the how-tos through the library.

Lynda.com, the online learning site, has two Windows 10 tutorials. Both are available through thelibrary.org/lynda with your library card, or during any tutorial session at the Edge Community Technology Center, in the lower level of the Midtown Carnegie Branch. (The Edge currently does not have any computers running Windows 10.)

  • Windows 10 New Features is 41 minutes and covers the core new features and improvements in Microsoft's newest operating system, including Cortana and the Edge web browser.
  • Windows 10 Essential Training, at nearly eight-hours, is a comprehensive tutorial that also covers installing and personalizing the operating system.
