May 18, 2016 — Learn about home repair and DIY projects at this series taught by Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Mo., construction professionals. Learn it one day, put your skills to the test by volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity build site, and use your new skills at home. Classes are free and open to adults. For details call 865-1340.

Thursday, June 9, 6 p.m. in the Library Station Story Hour Room. Learn about guttering installation and how to properly control water next to your home to avoid water damage.

DIY with a Purpose: Energy Efficiency Fixes You Can Do
Thursday, July 14, 6 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium. Learn how to make your home more sound and efficient with suitable products, windows and insulation.

DIY with a Purpose: Toilet Troubleshooting, Repair and Installation
Thursday, August 18, 6 p.m. in the Midtown Carnegie Branch basement meeting room. Learn about the components of a toilet and how they work, and learn practical and easy ways to do minor repairs without having to call a professional.
