Go Into the Wild with Videographer Ed Fillmer

May 19, 2016 —    All ages are invited to go Into the Wild with Videographer Ed Fillmer through his video stories from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the Library Center auditorium.

Freelance journalist Ed Fillmer will feature his favorite adventures and wild rides in video stories from “KY3’s Ozark Life” and “F-stops.”

Go with him to Grand Gulf, Hemmed-In Hollow and Devil’s Den. Take an upside-down ride in a biplane piloted by one of the Ozarks best-known men, race across the Outback of Australia in a solar-powered car, ride in the dining car of a steam locomotive powered train, see the famous White River Line Railroad from the air and from the locomotive, float in a hot air balloon above Greene County and see Ed Fillmer fly with the Air Force Thunderbirds!

Ed’s profiles first aired on “KY3’s Ozark Life” stories during his 17 years as a reporter, photographer and producer at KYTV. They are now available to see on KY3’s “Ozark Life Online” archive for anyone to see.

He began his television news career as a reporter, photographer and producer at KY3. He also spent the next nine years at (KUSA) Denver as a video journalist. He has a host of awards for his videography, news coverage and service to journalism, including four Emmys and two Edward R. Murrow Awards. With the advent of high definition digital video cameras and editing in 1999, Ed began his current freelance video journalist career.

Today Ed is Journalist in Residence for the History Museum of the Ozarks in cooperation with KYTV, and we are again seeing new stories by Ed on KY3.
