Are snakes really slimy? For centuries, reptiles have intrigued and horrified people, often due to simple misconceptions about these animals. Animal Tales staff will bust the myths about vertebrates with the facts, showcasing a number of common (and not-so-common) reptiles.

Whether it’s because it is a safe place to call home, a great place to get a bite to eat or the perfect place to raise a family, many animals live at least part of their lives underground. Our friends from Dickerson Park Zoo will introduce us to some of them and help us understand why certain creatures prefer underground habitats.

Join StoneLion Puppet Theatre for a mysterious adventure based on a classic Masai folktale. Rabbit has a new guest--one he doesn’t want! But he cannot figure out who it is or where it is, all he knows is he wants it out. Help the village animals unravel this mystery as they hunt for clues, solve the riddles and share their ideas.
