Are you a fan of cooking shows? Enjoy experimenting with new recipes and trying out exotic flavors? Or perhaps you're a wanna-be gourmet with no idea where to start? Tour some of the Ozarks' best haute cuisine this fall as local experts help you Sample the Culinary Arts with the Library and Springfield Regional Arts Council.
Pick up tips and tricks that will help you avoid the dinner doldrums, learn some new kitchen crafts, enter our cake decorating contest and maybe even try some delicious samples at a Library branch near you or at The Creamery Arts Center.
Enter Our Cake Decorating Contest!
Winners will be announced during the Sample the Culinary Arts Finale, Friday, November 7, 6-9 p.m., at The Creamery Arts Center.
- Contest includes two categories: Individual and Team/Organization.
- Prizes: $100 Best of Show; $50 1st Place Individual Category; $50 1st Place Team/Organization Category.
- Register by October 24. Call 862-2787.
- Drop off entry at The Creamery Arts Center between 2 and 4 p.m. on Friday, November 7. Participants must provide their own cake plate/holder.
- Entries will be judged by two local pastry chefs and the winner from the Taste of Springfield Cake Decorating Contest.
- Winners will be announced during the Sample the Culinary Arts Finale, Friday, November 7, 6-9 p.m., at The Creamery Arts Center.
