  • Monday, October 2, 7 p.m. Revolutionary War Ancestors. OGS members Carmen Boyd and J. Howard Fisk will discuss researching Revolutionary War ancestors in relation to their respective hereditary societies, Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution

  • Wednesday, October 18, 10 a.m. Trail of Tears. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, join Jackie Warfel, chairman of the Greene County Historic Sites Board, and Terry Whaley, director of Ozark Greenways, for a screening of The Department of the Interior National Park Service short film, "Trail of Tears," not rated, exposing one of the darkest chapters in American history. After the film, Jackie and Terry will discuss the Greene County routes of this National Historic Trail

  • Monday, November 6, 7 p.m. Are there Black Sheep in Your Family? OGS members will discuss the rascals in their families and the resources available to help researchers determine if a family tale is true or false

  • Wednesday, November 15, 10 a.m. Remembering and Honoring and Martyrs of the Race Course. OGS member Gail Mitchell will give two presentations about the origins of Memorial Day. A video memorial honoring OGS members and/or family members who have passed in the previous year will also be presented. Families, friends and loved ones are encouraged to attend
