Several of our upcoming programs are listed below. View all programs by branch, audience, or subject by clicking the links at left.

The south entrance and community room of the old Brentwood branch will be accessible from April 18-28 for scheduled meetings and programs. After April 28, Brentwood storytimes and other programs will be held at nearby locations. Please note the location of Brentwood programs in the program description.

  • Bilingual Storytime
    Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
    11 a.m. for infants-age 6.
    This bilingual, interactive storytime is designed especially for Spanish-speaking families. We’ll introduce parents and children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
  • Teddy Bear Picnic
    Library Station
    11 a.m. in the Story Hour Room for preschool-grade 2.
    Bring your teddy bear to the library for an indoor picnic. We’ll play all the games teddy bears love: musical bears, bear-achute, pin the honey pot on the bear; read teddy bear stories, make a fun teddy bear craft and munch on bear cookies! Materials will be provided.
  • Book Talk with Melanie Munton
    Library Station
    3-5 p.m. in the Frisco Room for adults.
    Romance author and Cabool native Melanie Munton will discuss the final book in her debut romantic suspense trilogy, "Possession and Politics." Her first two books, "Possession and Politics Parts 1 and 2," were published in 2015 under the CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
