  • Holiday Store for Kids
    Library Center
    10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. in the meeting room A for infants-age 18.
    Shopping for families, friends and teachers is affordable and fun at the Library’s annual Holiday Store. Kids through age 18 can shop at the "store" for gifts priced from 25 cents to $6. Friends of the Library volunteers will help young children shop for everyone on their gift list, purchase and wrap their gifts.
  • Let's Make Miniatures!
    Park Central Branch Library
    10:30 a.m. for adults.
    We'll make a tiny craft each month. Materials will be provided. Tiny Tinsel Trees
  • PokéStop By
    Library Station
    1-5 p.m. in the Story Hour Room for grades 4-12.
    Stop by anytime to create Pokémon crafts and catch monsters while we watch "Pokémon 2000," rated G, and "Pokémon 4Ever," rated G.
  • Second Saturday STEAM Play
    Willard Branch Library
    2-4 p.m. in the community room for grades K-12.
    STEAM play encourages mathematical thinking, scientific reasoning, creative problem solving and an appreciation of their connection to art. We'll supply LEGO bricks, Raspberry Pis, simple circuits and other materials -- just bring your imagination!

  • Sunday Concert Series
    Library Center
    2 p.m. in the auditorium for adults.
    Warm up with great, live music sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Fiddle and Banjo. This duo featuring Roger Matthews on banjo and Dan O'Day on fiddle plays traditional tunes in the vein of Earl Scruggs and Paul Warren.
  • "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey"
    Library Station
    2-4 p.m. in the Story Hour Room for preschool-grade 5.
    Bring a blanket to sit on and join us for a family afternoon at the movies with "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey," rated G. Popcorn and juice will be provided.

    Library Station
    10 a.m. in the Story Hour Room for infants-36 months.
    Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
  • Celebrate the Holidays with Courthouse Chorale
    Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
    12:15 p.m. for all ages.
    Enjoy light refreshments on the first floor while this vocal ensemble of Greene County officials and employees performs holiday favorites on the balcony.
  • Pajama Storytime
    Republic Branch Library
    7 p.m. in the community room for infants-age 6.
    Wear your pajamas and cuddle up with a stuffed animal as you listen to stories and sing songs perfect for bedtime.

    9:15 a.m. in the Story Hour Room for infants-12 months.
    Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
  • Edge Mobile Class: Downloading Made Easy
    Library Center
    10 a.m.-noon in the Harrison Room for adults.
    Learn how to download, install and uninstall a program, and explore different types of downloads, PDFs and streaming. We'll also talk about how to protect your computer from malware using antivirus programs. Prerequisites: Internet Basics and experience using keyboard and mouse. Registration starts November 1; call 882-0714.

    Kick off the holidays with a special "Gingerbread Man" storytime. We'll read the classic story, decorate a life-size cardboard gingerbread playhouse and make gingerbread man ornaments. Materials will be provided.
