  • Racing to Read Storytime
    Ash Grove Branch Library
    9:30 a.m. in the community room for infants-age 6.
    Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
  • Edge Mobile Class: Staying Safe & Secure in a Digital World

    10 a.m.-noon for adults.
    It's a big, on-line world out there. Learn what to do to protect yourself and your computer when you are connected to the Internet. Learn about anti-virus programs, Internet privacy, and how to keep your personal information safe. Prerequisite: Experience using a keyboard and mouse. Due to library renovation, this event will take place at the Dan Kinney Family Center, 2701 S. Blackman Road. Registration starts November 1; call 837-5011.

  • Edge Mobile Class: Learn it! Self-Paced Tutorials

    1-3 p.m. for adults.
    You can choose what you want to learn and go at your own speed with our self-paced tutorials. We provide the computer and you select from a wide variety of lessons designed specifically for individual learning. Topics include basic skills, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Gmail, Photoshop and more. Both interactive and video tutorials are available to fit your learning style. We also offer computer-instructed keyboarding lessons to help you learn to type or improve your typing skills. Due to library renovation, this event will take place at the Dan Kinney Family Center, 2701 S. Blackman Road. Prerequisites: Some experience using a keyboard and mouse.     6-8 p.m. in the Frisco Room for grades 6-12.
    If it's Friday night, there's something going on at the Station just for teens.
  • "Star Wars" Christmas Party
    Library Center
    7-8:30 p.m. in the auditorium for grades 4-8.
    The dark side meets the light side at this epic glow party of Death Star proportions! Be a dance Jedi master, use the force in games and activities and spend time with other Padawans. If the holiday spirit is strong with you, wear your ugliest Christmas sweater or dress up as your favorite "Star Wars" character.

    1-5 p.m. in the Story Hour Room for grades 4-12.
    Stop by anytime to create Pokémon crafts and catch monsters while we watch "Pokémon 2000," rated G, and "Pokémon 4Ever," rated G.
