  • Edge Mobile Class: Staying Safe & Secure in a Digital World
    Library Center
    10 a.m.-noon in the Harrison Room for adults.
    It's a big, on-line world out there. Learn what to do to protect yourself and your computer when you are connected to the Internet. Learn about anti-virus programs, Internet privacy, and how to keep your personal information safe. Prerequisite: Experience using a keyboard and mouse. Registration starts July 1; call 882-0714.

  • Edge Mobile Class: Learn it! Self-Paced Tutorials
    Library Center
    1-3 p.m. in the Harrison Room for adults.
    You can choose what you want to learn and go at your own speed with our self-paced tutorials. We provide the computer and you select from a wide variety of lessons designed specifically for individual learning. Topics include basic skills, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Gmail, Photoshop and more. Both interactive and video tutorials are available to fit your learning style. We also offer computer-instructed keyboarding lessons to help you learn to type or improve your typing skills. Prerequisites: Some experience using a keyboard and mouse. Registration starts July 1; call 882-0714.

    Join us in the courtyard at Walnut Grove High School for an interactive storytime with fun activities that bring books to life. The Mobile Library will be parked nearby so you can check out books after storytime.

    Coloring -- it's not just for kids anymore. Join us each month for a relaxing hour of staying between the lines, and see why these intricate and beautiful new coloring book designs are all the rage. Materials and light snack provided.

  • Good Hearts Knitting Circle
    Park Central Branch Library

    Our community's youngest citizens need your help! The Good Hearts Knitting Circle will knit red hats for babies born next February to raise awareness about congenital heart disease as part of the American Heart Association's Little Hats, Big Hearts program. Don't know how to knit? No problem, we'll show you how! Join Cheryl Blevins, public health nurse with the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, and other knitters as we work together to help newborns in the Ozarks. All skill levels welcome, from beginner to advanced. Materials will be provided, or bring your own.
