Several of our upcoming programs are listed below. View all programs by branch, audience, or subject by clicking the links at left.

The south entrance and community room of the old Brentwood branch will be accessible from April 18-28 for scheduled meetings and programs. After April 28, Brentwood storytimes and other programs will be held at nearby locations. Please note the location of Brentwood programs in the program description.

    11 a.m. in the Fair Grove Elementary School for grades K-5.
    Exercise your body, your brain and your imagination with Marty Hahne’s newest magic show. From missing bottles of root beer to sports magic, there are always plenty of surprises and mysteries in Marty’s shows. A Summer Reading Program event.

    10:30 a.m. for infants-36 months.
    Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read. Due to library renovation, this event will take place in the Library Center Story Hour Room with your favorite Brentwood librarians.
  • Explore
    Library Station
    1:30 p.m. in the Santa Fe Room for adults.
    Explore is an ongoing series aimed at everyone, including adults with developmental challenges. Not just a storytime, this program is a quest for fun and learning as we cover topics of interest with stories, images, crafts and sensory activities.
  • Scavenger Hunt & Puzzle Day
    Library Center
    2-3:30 p.m. in the auditorium for grades K-5.
    Put your detective skills to the test as you search the library for scavenger hunt clues, put together puzzles or create your own.
  • Art Abandoners
    Fair Grove Branch Library
    2-6 p.m. for grades 4-8.
    Create pieces of anonymous, unique art and hide them in public locations for anyone to discover. The Library has partnered with the City of Fair Grove to host this art discovery project. (Your abandoned art pieces may not be returned.) Hot Rocks and Melted Crayons

  • Reading Pals
    Republic Branch Library
    4:30 p.m. in the community room for grades K-5.
    Our friends from Pet Therapy of the Ozarks need your help -- they love a good story but can't read. Practice your reading skills with these furry, loveable friends
  • Evening Book Discussion
    Temporary Brentwood Branch Library
    6:30-8:30 p.m. for adults.
    Due to library renovation, this event will take place in the C.H. "Chub" O'Reilly Cancer Center support group room, 2055 S. Fremont Ave., Mercy Hospital Campus. "The Tsar of Love and Techno" by Anthony Marra

    NXT Chapter: A Book Group for 20/30-Somethings

    7:30 p.m. in the Harrison Room for ages 20-39.
