  • Midtown Carnegie Branch Library - Celebrate Summer Reading with Babaloo!
    Midtown Carnegie Branch Library
    1-4 p.m. for all ages.
    Join us on the parking lot as we wind down the Summer Reading Program. The fun begins with a performance from Babaloo, a one-man musical comedy act, from 1-2 p.m. Be prepared to laugh, sing, dance and make big noise! Stay the afternoon for games, activities and light refreshments. In case of rain, event will be held in the upstairs meeting room.
  • Library Station - Happy Birthday, Harry!
    Library Station
    6-8 p.m. in the Frisco Room for grades 6-12 and adults.
    Are you the ultimate Harry Potter fan? Join us for a trivia contest in honor of Harry Potter’s birthday. Teams of four will compete to determine if they are the true trivia champions of the wizarding world! Registration starts July 15; call 865-1340.

    Explore our solar system and the relationship to our planet as we investigate the shadows and movements of the planets with Discovery Center of Springfield staff. An Explore Space event. Registration starts July 17; call 616-0526.

    2 p.m. in the Frisco Room for grades K-5.
    Tommy Terrific's Wacky Magic presents a new show featuring magic tricks that represent the great architectural structures from around the world: the Great Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China and much more. With the help of the Magician's Handbook, the audience will guide Tommy Terrific through a worldwide, magical adventure where these great structures are explored in fun and interesting ways. Along the way, the kids will be inspired to discover how they can "Build a Magical World" at their library.
  • Park Central Branch Library - Adult Coloring Circle
    Park Central Branch Library
    5-6:30 p.m. for adults.
    Join us every Tuesday for a relaxing session of staying between the lines, and see why these intricate and beautiful coloring designs are all the rage. Drop in or stay the whole time. Materials will be provided.
