    Library Center
    2 p.m. in the Story Hour Room for adults.
    Join Rick and Karen Maxson, ukulele players and teachers, for an evening of complete beginner instruction as they lead you through chords, strumming and singing. No prior musical experience is necessary. Ukuleles and instruction booklets will be provided. Limited to 20 participants. Registration for this session is full.   • Racing to Read Book Babies Storytime
    Library Center
    9:30 a.m. in the Story Hour Room for infants-18 months.
    Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
  • Edge Mobile Class: Learn it! Self-Paced Tutorials
    Ash Grove Branch Library
    10 a.m.-noon in the community room for adults.
    You can choose what you want to learn and go at your own speed with our self-paced tutorials. We provide the computer and you select from a wide variety of lessons designed specifically for individual learning. Topics include basic skills, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Gmail, Photoshop and more. Both interactive and video tutorials are available to fit your learning style. We also offer computer-instructed keyboarding lessons to help you learn to type or improve your typing skills. Prerequisites: Some experience using a keyboard and mouse. Registration starts July 1; call 751-2933.

Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read. Due to library renovation, this event will take place in the Library Center Story Hour Room with your favorite Brentwood librarians.

    Self-published and low-cost, printed zines continue to grow in popularity as an intriguing form of self-expression. Find out more about the art form, zine collectives and how to create your own. Materials will be provided.
  • Not Just for Kids Picture Book Talk

    5:30 p.m. in the community room for adults.
    Drop by the community room for children's librarian Emily Alexander's monthly picks and tips on how you can enjoy picture books as much as the kids you are reading to. Children optional.
  • Genealogy Workshop
    Library Center
    7 p.m. in the meeting rooms A and B for adults.
    Sponsored by Ozarks Genealogical Society. Tombstone Maintenance and Restoration. OGS members Fran Black and Rose Jones will discuss when to fix a tombstone, the do's and don'ts of repair and things to consider when finding a tombstone in disrepair.
