At their recent [October 21-26] annual fall book sale at Remington’s, the Friends of the Springfield-Greene County Library District sold more than $94,000 of pre-read and donated books.
In the past, book sale proceeds have been used to fund teen and children’s programming, special events, systemwide plant maintenance, equipment and vehicle purchases with ten percent allotted to the Library Foundation materials endowment.
The Friends of the Library 24th annual spring book sale is scheduled for Tuesday-Sunday, April 28-May 3, 2009, at Remington’s, 1655 West Republic Road. Hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
