The Library's Early Literacy Program

Tiny Tip

It's time for Racing to Read Playtime at the Ash Grove Branch Library! Come play with us on Thursday, September 29th from 10 a.m. to noon for infants to age 6. Join us for a playdate filled with developmentally appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Our toys include ideas for playing!

About Racing to Read

Early literacy is what children know about reading and writing before they learn how to read and write. Reading, talking, singing and playing with children from birth make learning to read easier!

Bring your child to a library branch near you to discover all the Library has to offer, including storytimes, play-and-learn centers, creative, knowledgeable staff and, of course, books. For more information, email racingtoread@thelibrary.org.
