Sing & Rhyme Play with sounds, songs and rhymes.

PLAY

I Spy with Sounds

Help your child learn to listen for the initial sounds of words  by playing I Spy.  Gather a bunch of toys or other objects and tell your preschooler, "I spy something that starts with the 'buh' (B) sound.  Can you guess what it is?"  Reinforce correct answers with lots of cheers.  If your child is unable to find an object, help them name the objects, putting lots of emphasis on the initial sound of each word.

SING

The Fly and the Flea

A flea and a fly in a flue,
Were trapped, so what could they do?
Said the flea, “Let us fly.”
Said the fly, “Let us flee.”
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.
