The mission of the Funding Information Center is to assist nonprofit and community organizations in gathering information to increase their effectiveness in serving human needs, promoting civic and cultural life, preserving the environment, and strengthening neighborhoods and organizations.
As a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center in New York, the Springfield-Greene County Library is a part of a network of more than 425 libraries, community foundations, and nonprofit resource centers that provides a core collection of Center publications for public reference. The Cooperating Collection includes directories and other publications to assist individuals in locating sources of funding and information about private and community grant-making foundations in the United States. The Center also offers a wide range of materials that can be checked out.
The Funding Information Center is here to serve local nonprofits and assist them in researching and accessing grant opportunities, grant writing skills and support them in attaining their missions and goals.
