The Hunger Games, New Maggie Stiefvater books, and more @ the Library!

Published February 2, 2012 by: Chelsea

So much is going on @ your Library!

  • It seems like everyone is talking about the Hunger Games books and movie, and we're so excited to be able to join in on the fun.  Be sure to check out our Hunger Games website for information on programs, book discussions, and more to celebrate the upcoming movie release.  Check back often for updates, and keep an eye out for videos from President Snow and the Capitol.  Head over to thelibrary.org/hungergames for more info.
  • Maggie Stiefvater, author of Gateway nominee "Shiver" and "The Scorpio Races," will be coming out with a new series this fall called "The Raven Boys."  So far is sounds amazing, but we'll have to wait a while to see what she has in store for us.  In the meantime, you can find her other books at the Library
  • Love trivia?  Think you've got what it takes to beat out the competition?  Come flex your 80's and 90's trivia skills at Blast from the Past Trivia night.  Teams of 2-4 players will battle their wits to for awesome prizes and the chance to be the most tubular trivia players!  Don't forget to come dressed in your best 80's and 90's threads!  Call 882-0714 to register.
  • Do you want to have a say in library programs for teens (and get volunteering credit)?  Check out our advisory board meetings, held at the Library Center, Republic Branch Library, and Midtown Carnegie Branch Library.
