Authors Paul W. Bass and Cecelia M. Chittenden will sell and sign copies of their book, “Pioneer Churches of Springfield, Missouri: Celebrating More than a Century of Service,” from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the Library Center concourse, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
“Pioneer Churches of Springfield, Missouri: Celebrating More than a Century of Service” is the first published record of nearly 40 churches that have remained active for more than 100 years. All were established before 1915. Enhanced with nearly 150 photographs and illustrations, the book shows the diversity and growth of Springfield as a center for religious life for all faiths. More
