Street view of Campbell 1945

Springfield News and Leader, December 23, 1945, page 1.

"More Room -- Southbound traffic on Campbell Street flows along a route unobstructed by any parked cars on the west side of the street. Parking meters on the west sidewalk have been removed and no parking is allowed on that side from Olive to Mount Vernon. You can see the street almost as far as Olive in this picture, which was taken looking north from a point near Campbell and Walnut."

Note: No city directories are known to exist for 1945, probably due to World War II. The 1946 Springfield City Directory lists the following businesses between College Street and Walnut.
