Get to Know the Candidates

Are you still undecided? One of the best ways to get to know the candidates is to read what they have written. Through the years, Donald Trump and Secretary Hillary Clinton have both written several books. Check out the following titles from the library today!

Secretary Hillary Clinton

"Stronger Together" written with Tim Kaine

"Stronger Together" brings together the personal stories, speeches, fact sheets, and policy proposals behind Secretary Clinton's historic campaign, from the announcement of her candidacy in April 2015 up to her nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

"Hard Choices"

Clinton offers candid reflections about the key moments during her time as Secretary of State, as well as her thoughts about how to navigate the challenges of the 21st century.

"Living History"

Clinton writes about her upbringing in suburban, middle-class America in the 1950s and her transformation from Goldwater Girl to student activist to controversial First Lady.

"It Takes a Village"

As First Lady, Clinton made children her passion and her cause. Her experience with children strengthened her conviction that a child's development is inextricably entwined with the society in which they live and how well that society supports families and individuals. In other words, it takes a village to raise a child. This book chronicles her quest to discover how we can make our society into the kind of village that allows children to grow into able, caring, resilient adults.

Donald Trump

"Crippled America"

Trump outlines how a crippled America could be restored to greatness. The book explores Trump's views on key issues including the economy, big CEO salaries and taxes, healthcare, education, national security, and social issues. Of particular interest is his vision for complete immigration reform, beginning with securing the borders and putting American workers first.

"Time to Get Tough"

Trump reveals his hard-line, commonsense solutions to the problems plaguing us today and shows how we can put our country back on the path to greatness.

"Midas Touch" written with Robert T. Kiyosaki

Trump and Robert T. Kiyosaki share their experiences as well as their insights into creating and building successful businesses.

"Think Like a Champion" written with Meredith McIver

Over the years, Trump has written many bestselling books. He has also written short essays that describe his successful tenets on how to live the good life, both personally and professionally. These pieces have been personally selected by Trump for this book, giving his special perspective in what amounts to an "informal education" on how to succeed in business and life.

"Think Big and Kick Ass" written with Bill Zanker

Bill Zanker started The Learning Annex with $5,000 of his own money. After meeting Donald Trump, Zanker learned to Think BIG himself and grew The Learning Annex from a $5 million-a-year company into one that has over $100 million a year in sales, and is still growing. Here, you too can learn Trump's secrets to thinking BIG!

"Why We Want You to Be Rich" written with Robert T. Kiyosaki, Meredith McIver, & Sharon L. Lechter

This book discusses the importance of financial education and offers advice for using financial literacy to increase wealth.

"Trump: The Art of the Comeback" with Kate Bohner

Trump's story begins when many real estate moguls went belly-up in what he calls the Great Depression of 1990. Trump reveals how he renegotiated millions of dollars in bank loans and survived the recession, paving the way for a resurgence, during which he built the most successful casino operation in Atlantic City, broke ground on one of the biggest and most lucrative development projects ever undertaken in New York City, and outsmarted one of South America's richest men for rights to the Miss Universe pageant.

"Trump: The Art of the Deal" with Tony Schwartz

Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work. This is a firsthand account of the rise of America's foremost deal-maker.
