Warm up with Midtown’s Cider Sessions Series in October
Music at Midtown: The Cider Sessions offers everyone a chance to welcome the start of autumn with warm apple cider and intimate musical performances by our favorite local artists.
The concerts for all ages are at 6 p.m. on three Thursdays in the Midtown Carnegie Branch upstairs meeting room, and presented by our generous sponsors, the Friends of the Library.
• Oct. 12: Emily Higgins, producer and host of “The Mulberry Tree,” will perform original songs from her “91 Acres” collection, the musical chronicle of a Douglas County land reclamation.
• Oct. 19: Singer songwriter Steve Ames will share the songs that have made him an Ozarks favorite and fixture on the local music scene.
• Oct. 26: Shannon Stine, award-winning thumbpicking guitarist, singer and songwriter, will share original tunes and a few favorite covers.
