Four festive holiday bashes are ahead for teens and families. Don’t miss out on the fun!
- Saturday, Dec. 16: Cosplay Prom: Yule Ball, 6-8 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Library Station Frisco Room. Grab your friends, put on your favorite cosplay and bring your geeky spirit to Cosplay Prom: Yule Ball! Request songs, meet new friends and dance the night away. Registration starts December 11; call 865-1340.
- Wednesday, Dec. 20: Harry Potter Yule Ball, Library-Style 3:30 p.m. for grades 6-12 in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Teen Room. Put on your favorite Harry Potter wear and join us for an afternoon of themed games, music, snacks and more. We'll draw from the Sorting Hat to determine which house you belong in at this celebration of all things Harry Potter! Call 862-0135.
- Saturday, Dec. 30: It’s a New Year's Eve Eve Bash at 1 p.m. in the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch for families with children in grades K-5. It’s almost a new year, how will you ring in 2018? Practice your party skills with music, games and a countdown! Call 883-1974. ]
- Saturday, Dec. 30: Just for teens! Join the New Year's Eve Eve Cosplay Ball at 6:30-8 p.m. for grades 8-12 at the Schweitzer Brentwood Branch. Bring your friends and flaunt your fandom as we take over the library. We’ll have an escape room, dancing, trivia and more! Participants must be signed in by a guardian by 6:30 p.m. and picked up by 8 p.m. Participants may not leave before 8 p.m. without a parent or guardian. Call 883-1974.
