Christmas in the Ozarks

Enjoy a selection of Christmas photographs found on From the Darkroom. This collection consists of thousands of photographic negatives and prints from the News & Leader, Leader and Press, and the Daily News.

Lineman Gene Harris, City Utilities employee, puts up Christmas decorations in downtown Springfield. The large, star-centered strand stretched across the street in the 300 block of College. Published in the Leader & Press on November 17, 1960.

 

Christmas display at Brentwood Terrace. The building on the left is actually the company's field office, decorated like a home. The building on the right is the office of architect Don Russell. Published in the Leader & Press December 21, 1950.
