Snow in April

Snowblossom Time in the Ozarks
Springfield Leader & Press, April 5, 1971, page one.

"There was little chirping in Springfield today as robins and other spring things, along with surprised citizens, stared in disbelief at snow scenes such as the one shown above on South Stewart. Some 6.3 inches of snow fell on the Queen City, but warm ground melted all but three inches of the white stuff. American Robins were rudely interrupted from worm-seeking as snow covered new grass and baby buds on bushes and trees in town."

More snow photographs are available at From the Darkroom.
