See the Cardinals for $1 and Thrill a Child with a New Book

Springfield Cardinals fans can see the team play on Tuesday AUG 28 for just $1 while providing a new book for local children who don’t have their own. The Cardinals and partners are hosting a book drive for the Springfield-Greene County Libraries. The Library’s outreach staff will give the books to children they visit in underserved areas.

Fans who donate a new hardback or paperback book for ages birth to 17 can buy a $1 ticket to Tuesday’s 6:30 p.m. game against the Arkansas Travelers. It’s also $1 Hot Dog Day. Bring a book between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday or Tuesday to the Cardinals front office at Hammons Field, or to the ticket office before the game. For details call the Cardinals at 863-0395.
