Friends of the Library Fall Sale Oct. 17-21
Features Big Bargains and a Silent Auction
The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale returns to the E*Plex at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds on Oct. 17-21, with bargain-priced books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and a new twist for collectors – a silent auction featuring five rare, collectible books.
The annual fall event launches with the Friends Night Preview Sale from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. Friends members are admitted free to this sneak peek sale; others can pay $5 at the door and convert it to a Friends membership that night.
The regular sale runs 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Oct. 17-20; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. Saturday is Half-Price Day; Sunday is Bag Day, when shoppers pay only $1 for a sack of books, or $5 for a sack from “Better Books.”
Bargains abound every genre, and for every age. Adults, young adult, children’s books, games and most audiovisuals are $1 or less. Better books are priced $2 and up.
The Friends accept cash or check only. Parking is always free.
The Silent Auction bidding opens on Friends Night from 5 p.m. Oct. 16 and closes at 6 p.m. Oct. 19. Bids will be accepted only at the sale.
