Help Chart Future of Library at a Community Listening Session
The Brentwood Branch renovation. Self-service checkout. Enhanced security. New carpeting. The Library Express West 24-hour kiosk.
If you’ve enjoyed any of these changes in the last few years, you saw the more visible results of your library district’s five-year strategic plan. We have more work ahead before the plan ends in mid-2020, but we’re already gathering ideas for the next plan, and we’re asking for your help.
What do you want your library district and library branches to do for you in the next five years?
You’re invited to give your thoughts at a casual Community Listening Session planned at library branches across the Springfield-Greene County Library District.
The goal is to collect ideas and opinions to help chart the near-future course of your Springfield-Greene County Library District, says Executive Director Regina Greer Cooper.
During the one-hour moderated sessions, we will ask:
- How do you currently use the Library?
- What do you like about the Library – what do we do well?
- What could we do better – are there additional services and programs you would like?
All ages are invited to attend one or more of these one-hour sessions:
- Thursday, Aug. 15, 10 a.m., Ash Grove Branch
- Wednesday, Aug. 21, 5 p.m., Fair Grove Branch
- Friday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m., Strafford Branch
- Wednesday, Aug. 28, 5 p.m., Strafford Branch
- Thursday, Aug. 29, 10 a.m., Library Center auditorium
- Monday, Sept. 16, 5 p.m., Library Center auditorium
Refreshments will be served. If you can’t attend any of those dates, more sessions are being planned for September.
