Gratitude
It’s totally cliche by this point - this whole being thankful over the holidays. Gratitude is baked right into the season after all. We named one holiday pretty much right on the nose, and another one has just an incredible number of cartoons and movies all about experiencing magical epiphanies that turn one from coldly avaricious to warmly gracious. It all makes us feel oh so good about ourselves and our outlook shimmers like twinkle lights. Then the ball drops and a few weeks later it all seems forgotten.
The truth of the matter is that gratitude is good for you. Literally, there is a selfish reason to be more thankful - according to research out of Harvard University (and plenty of others) it will make you healthier and happier. How great is that? Here are some books I’ve read to be more mindful of the importance of gratitude.
