Artist Sherry Veach will sell and sign copies of her book, “A Winter Day on the Farm with Waddles the Duck and Bessy the Holstein” from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at the Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell Ave.
“A Winter Day On the Farm With Waddles the Duck And Bessy the Holstein” is the first book in Sherry Veach’s "The Imagination Book Series," which encourages a child or an adult to write their own story to go with illustrations provided by an artist. The illustrations in the first book reveal a winter day in the life of a duck and cow living on a farm. Whether it is used for fun, or as a teaching tool, the series will promote penmanship, spelling, grammar and punctuation, all of which will make the book come to life. The design of the book places the spine at the top, allowing a comfortable writing position for left- and right-handed writers, while placing the illustration above the writing page to be in full view.
