David Sedaris May 1 Event Tickets “Sold Out”

Tickets for the David Sedaris May 1 event are all taken. These reserved tickets were free thanks to the sponsorship of Friends of the Library. Free tickets that you’ve obtained through the Gillioz website or box office will be honored. Do not pay for tickets as they may have been reserved through nonsanctioned resellers.

Geoff Steele from the Gillioz explains, “While the vast majority of the tickets distributed for this event were distributed to well-intentioned patrons, the live event industry has an ongoing challenge with third party brokers who pick up tickets and attempt to sell them and make a profit.

“The Gillioz has a strict policy in place to address these resellers. Our policy is posted online and states, "We reserve the right to revoke tickets sold to a broker or unauthorized third party. If you are holding a revoked ticket, you will not be admitted and will not receive a refund."

“The Gillioz discourages individuals from buying tickets for this event. The money will not go to the artist, the library that is promoting the event nor the venue that is hosting.

“Tickets for this, or any event at the Gillioz should only be acquired through the venue's official website.”
