Drop Off Friends Sale Donations Anytime at the Library Center Bin
Eager to unload your used books, CDs and DVDs for the Friends of the Library book sales? The Friends are accepting donations anytime at one site only – a designated bin on the Library Center south parking lot.
The self-service book drop bin is located at the far end of the south parking lot driveway, 4653 S. Campbell Ave. Go through the library drive-through lane afterwards if you need a donation receipt.
Large loads should be placed on pallets provided there. Individuals with especially large collections or special circumstances may call the Friends at 417-616-0560 or email to friends@thelibrary.org.
The Friends accept hardback and paperback books, CDs, DVDs, videocassettes, audiobooks and other audiovisual items, plus puzzles and games. Donations will eventually be sold at the Friends fall and spring book sales.
The other Springfield-Greene County Libraries cannot accept donations at this time, as book storage rooms are being used for quarantined library materials.
The Friends Fall Book Sale is scheduled for Sept. 16-20, with Friends Night Preview Sale on Sept. 15, at the Ozark Empire Fair E*Plex.
