Donate Items for Friends' sales to Library Center July 6-11 and July 13-18
Eager to donate all of those books and items you’ve been storing for the Friends of the Library sales? Your wait is over.
The Friends are accepting materials during a two-week “Donation Blitz” at the Library Center, only. You can deliver your donations from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, July 6-11, and July 13-18, to the south parking lot. Friends members will be there and provide receipts.
After-hours donations, and those after July 18, may go in an adjacent, designated book return. Large and boxed loads should be placed on pallets provided there. Individuals with especially large collections or special circumstances may call the Friends at 417-616-0560 or email to friends@thelibrary.org.
The other Springfield-Greene County libraries cannot accept donations at this time due to measures necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Don’t forget: The Friends Fall Book Sale is scheduled for Sept. 16-20, with Friends Night Preview Sale on Sept. 15, at the Ozark Empire Fair E*Plex. For details on what materials are accepted for Friends sales, visit thelibrary.org/friends.
