First female editor
Girl named editor of S.T.C. Standard
"For the first time in the history of the Southwest Standard, the Teachers College paper, a girl was elected editor. Dorothy Davis of Carthage enjoys this distinction. Murray Marshal, basketball star will be business manager. Robert Ichord will edit the Ozarko, the school annual year-book, with Clarence Burnette as business manager. The editors and business managers were selected last week by the student council for next year’s publications.
"Miss Davis says that her policy in the Southwest Standard will be to pursue a middle course."
