Teacher's College vaccination
200 Vaccinated at Teachers’ College
"On instructions from Lon Sharp, city health commissioner, Dr. Ralph Ellis yesterday vaccinated about two hundred students at the State Teachers College [now called Missouri State University]. The order was made for the reason that two cases of smallpox developed at the college.
"Mr. Sharp said today that at his request a number of business firms are having their employees vaccinated. The telephone company had had 100 employees vaccinated and plan the treatment for about 50 more. The Willow Springs Creamery Company obtained the treatment for all its employees, and other concerns are to do the same, Sharp says."
