Library Center Opens New Site for Friends Sale Donations
The Friends of the Library donation bin on the Library Center south parking lot has moved to a new, green shed near the drive-up lane. Two designated parking spots and a ramp at the shed are available for easy deliveries.
The shed will be unlocked during daylight hours until dark. Visitors should ask staff for assistance by calling 417-882-0714 when the shed is locked. Donation receipts are available at the drive-up window.
Donations are also accepted at any branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library during regular library hours. Donors will receive a receipt listing the number and type of books donated.
The Friends accept donations of hardback and paperback books for children, teens and adults; movies, music CDs, vinyl records, sheet music, audiobooks, games, puzzles and board games. Donations are sold at the Friends’ book sales.
The Spring Book Sale is April 27-May 1, 2022, at the E*Plex, Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
