The library has a new format to help kids get excited about learning to read: Read-alongs! Read-alongs are hardcover books with a ready-to-play audiobook device attached inside. They can be used with or without headphones and do not need a battery or the Internet to use. The library has selected a wide range of high interest titles to appeal to preschool through early elementary-aged children.
Read-alongs are located with the picture books in the children’s section of your favorite branch. To find a list of titles, enter “Children’s Read-along” in the catalog box found on the top right side of the library’s web page. They are flying off the shelves, so call your favorite library branch and ask a librarian to put some on hold for you today!
