Today’s blog post was written by Kate Baird, Museum Educator at the Springfield Art Museum.
Museum Trip by Barbara Lehman. Also available on Hoopla.
Some of my favorite books don’t have any words, and this is one of them. After you find your way out of “Museum Trip” by Barbara Lehman, make your own map of an imaginary museum that you would like to visit. You can also visit the Springfield Art Museum (check the web page for hours and visitor requirements), or try a virtual tour of a Museum exhibition called Framed.
Be sure to join us virtually on October 20 at 10 a.m. for an arty Storytime & More at the Art Museum. Watch at thelibrary.org/kids or join us on Facebook, @thelibrary.org. Our Art Museum storytime will be available to watch for 24 hours.
Don’t forget that the Art Museum also offers project bags to keep kids exploring art and art techniques. Visit the Family Learning section of the Museum’s web page to learn more about the Take-home Project Bags.
